Latest concept party by Bedsty titled “RED Alert: Bedsty presents TOUCH THE SKY” at 1-Altitude

26^th August, 2010, Singapore – Bedsty Music.Parties.Design is proud to present its latest concept party “RED Alert: Bedsty presents TOUCH THE SKY” at the newly opened 1-Altitude, at One Raffles Place, on Saturday, September 11^th 2010, from 9pm.

This inaugural party is supported by DOPE.SG, and will boast a fresh, liberating and exhilarating experience with a genre-bending mix of music, lights and sound. The party will feature French-Vietnamese duo Tha Trickaz, fresh off the Tony Hawk Show in Paris, and 5 other notable homegrown DJs including Cherry Chan (Syndicate), Cosa Nostra& DJ J Styles.

With the SingaporeGP just weeks away, we’re getting into the spirit of the races by throwing our premier party at the world’s highest alfresco, 282 metres above the ground, giving revelers an unparalleled view of the entire track! And if you ever wanted to come up close to a Formula 1 car, you can do so at the ground level of the venue where we are showcasing replicas of these impressive race cars!

Partygoers are encouraged to participate in party’s red & black theme, with TOUCH THE SKY staying true to form with Bedsty’s emphasis on delivering an experience you feel. Six DJs will be spread across two of three floors of 1-Altitude – 282 on Level 61 and its rooftop Gallery & Bar with drinks specials and other promotions to be announced shortly.

Headlining the party are Tha Trickaz from Paris, France. Self-labelled “Tha Vietnamists” and life-long friends, Pho & DJ iRaize, who founded the group over eight years ago, based on a mutual need to push musical boundaries as well as their own technical limits.

Their live performances best illustrate the magic of combined imagination: rare and traditional vinyl cut up with sampling, scratching, analog instruments, live musicians & the MPC real time drumming. All this combined with killer beats to shake the floor!

They have played alongside international artists such as Kid Koala, Wu Tang Killa Beez, Mix Master Mike, Busdriver, The Scratch Perverts, Wax Tailor, DJ Kentaro and even skateboard legend Tony Hawk for the Quicksilver Tony Hawk Show in Paris.

Leading the homegrown talents is Cherry Chan of local collective Syndicate, who started the city’s first all-girl DJ club night called Pop My Cherry, and has gone on to support artists like Four Tet and Moderat.

This recent Red Bull Music Academy alumni describes her eclectic style as somewhere between quirky, dreamy, dark and dubby. “An unsuspecting innocent crowd see this sweet girl who’ll feed them coconut ice cream feel good music first – then as they get drunker, the ragga reggae comes on and before they know it, they are letting loose to dubstep and glitch hop.”

Tha Trickaz and Cherry are supported by DJ + Sax duo, Cosa Nostra, and Bedsty DJs Krumbs, Syafii and former DMC Singapore Champion DJ J Styles.

Entry to RED Alert: Bedsty presents TOUCH THE SKY is S$15, inclusive of a housepour for access to the rooftop. Club rules apply, so come dressed to impress, and be ready to touch the sky!
