Jay-One is a flamboyant rhymesayer that can adapt to different lyrical formats and styles ranging from braggadocio raps to wordplays that expresses matters of the heart.

He started indulging in the artform of rhyme recital with the now defunct act known as Decepticons and later progressed to other solo and collaborative works. As one of the few individuals who layed the building blocks of the collective when it was first established as 'AsOne Family' in 2000, Jay-One has been an influential figure amongsts his peers playing mentor to some of them.

Leaning towards a more matured sound, he is working on a few collaborative projects which will showcase his versatility as a lyricist.
